Casa Palmeras and Palmas Pacifica are located about 100 miles/160 km (3 hours driving time) from San Jose International Airport (SJO). There are a couple ways to get to the home from the airport:
Shuttle
Palmas Pacifica offers 24/7 private shuttle service (mini-van) to and from SJO. The cost for the shuttle is $170 each way for up to 5 people, and $10 for each additional passenger after the fifth person.
Our property manager will collect a deposit ($30 each way) and your flight details. Your driver will be waiting for you at the airport, holding a sign with your name on it. Your ride includes as many stops as you need, so you can stock up on groceries, get something to eat, or even do a bit of sightseeing before you arrive at Casa Palmeras.
After booking, you will get an email from the property manager with a link to reserve your shuttle ride and pay the deposit.
Rental Car
You can rent a car at the airport and then drive to Casa Palmeras, or take the shuttle and then pick up the rental car in Quepos. In town, you’ll find all the major car rental companies (Adobe, Alamo, National, Economy). After booking, you will receive an email with driving directions for Casa Palmeras.
Some people prefer to rent a 4×4 vehicle to traverse the rougher terrain around Manuel Antonio National Park and Quepos, but it is not necessary. We have rented a standard sedan without issue.
